How To Repair Lcd Monitors
The last line in Example 6.13 is a key to allowing the PIN numbers to function properly. By default, all the CME-supported Cisco IP phones have a Login softkey on the LCD display. This softkey is dimmed and unusable until you enter the login command from telephony service configuration mode. The timeout value that follows this command represents the amount of idle time before the phone automatically revokes the last PIN number entered. The clear value is an absolute time at which the last-entered PIN number becomes invalid. In the case of Example 6.13, the PIN will clear at 11 00 p.m. regardless of the last time it was entered. This does not prevent users from logging back in by entering their PIN number a second time after 11 00 p.m.
When a laptop or portable device begins to malfunction, what should you do The customer can replace some parts of a laptop, typically called Customer-Replaceable Units (CRU). CRUs include such components as the laptop battery and additional RAM. Parts that the customer should not replace are called Field-Replaceable Units (FRU). FRUs include such components as the laptop motherboard, LCD display, and keyboard. In many cases, the device may need to be returned to the place of purchase, a certified service center, or even the manufacturer. Most repairs to LCD displays must be performed in a repair center. These repairs include replacing the LCD screen, the backlight that shines through the screen to illuminate the display, and the inverter that produces the high voltage required by the backlight. If the backlight has failed, the screen is visible only when you look at it from an angle.
The display IE sends text to do such things as provide output for an LCD display. This IE is commonly used to pass caller name information over a PRI, although PBXs and telecommunications service providers with NI3-type ISDN switches exist that only pass calling name information with the facility IE in QSIG. The display and facility IEs are used by Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) to support caller name and number identification presentation. These services are based on the device control protocols that handle the call. Not all device protocols provide caller number and name information in the protocol messages.
