MGCP's version of the CreateConnection command has some modifications and additional parameters over the SGCP version. The following three parameters outline the differences:
• Second Endpoint ID—Used instead of the Remote Connection descriptor to create a connection between two endpoints in the same gateway. This command specifies local connections over resident TDM backplanes or bus interconnections.
• Embedded Notification Request—Enables the call agent to transmit the optional requested events, request identifier, digit map, and signal requests, as well as handle quarantines and detect events parameters within the embedded request.
• Embedded Endpoint Configuration—Inserts the parameters carried after the notification request and specifies the encoding technique for the line side of the endpoint.
