Foundation Summary

The "Foundation Summary" section of each chapter lists the most important facts from the chapter. Although this section does not list every fact from the chapter that will be on your SNRS exam, a well-prepared candidate should at a minimum know all the details in each "Foundation Summary" section before going to take the exam.

Cisco Secure ACS deployment factors that you need to consider include the following:

• Network topology

• Access policy

• Network latency and reliability

• Remote-access policy

• Administrative-access policy

The following are the minimum hardware requirements for installing Cisco Secure ACS for Windows:

• Pentium III processor, 550 MHz or faster.

• At least 250 MB of free disk space. If you are running your database on the same machine, more disk space is required.

• Minimum graphics resolution of 256 colors at 800 x 600 lines.

A good place to start troubleshooting Cisco Secure ACS related AAA problems is the Failed Attempts Report under Reports and Activity. The report displays several types of failures. Other useful troubleshooting commands include the following:

• debug tacacs+ Displays TACACS related information such as unsuccessful login attempts to a router configured for TACACS authentication

• debug radius Displays RADIUS client/server-related information in ASCII format

• debug aaa authentication Displays information related to AAA TACACS+ authentication

• debug aaa authorization Displays information related to AAA TACACS+ authorization
