Configuring the Router Maximum Queue for Alarms

The size of an events buffer determines the amount of memory used on the router. It is important to limit the amount of memory reserved for alerts and alarms. If event notification is enabled, a maximum of 200 events can be stored in the buffer. The following command sets the SDEE notification queue size:

ip sdee events events

The events keyword is an integer between 1 and 1000 that designates the maximum number of events that can remain in the queue. This command must be used in global configuration mode.

Example 13-3 shows the command used to set the maximum queue size to allow 300 events.
